OPEN: Geelong Design Week 2022 host applications

Geelong Design Week is returning in 2022! This community event celebrates Geelong’s global recognition as Australia’s only UNESCO Creative City of Design.

Applications to host an event will open on 1 September.

The theme for 2022 is ‘Taur’ which means ‘belonging’ in the language of the Wadawurrung, Traditional Owners of Djilang (Geelong).

Geelong Design Week will showcase how design can respond to our need to belong, how we are creating places and spaces accessible to all, and how staying connected keeps us safe and promotes a better quality of life. In Wadawurrung language, we are one with our country, we are all connected.

Designers, creatives, businesses, community groups and schools are invited to apply. Events could include exhibitions, workshops, talks, tours, innovative experiences, projections, pop-up spaces and forums.
