Global UNESCO cities to explore Geelong in March
Twenty-six delegates from 17 international cities will attend the UNESCO City of Design Subnetwork Meeting 2023, held in Geelong 27-31 March.
The international gathering will focus on the creative industries, urban design, business innovation and the sustainability aspects of design, and is an opportunity to learn more about how design is embedded and evolving in our city.
During the 5-day program delegates will share knowledge and participate in a range of walks, talks, presentations, and cultural tours showcasing Geelong.
The subnetwork meeting provides an exciting opportunity for communities across 43 design cities to participate-in and learn about the range of projects taking place across the network.
Community members interested in hearing about some of the latest design projects can watch a livestream of three panel sessions, on 28, 29 and 30 March, from 12 noon.
Geelong is one of 43 Cities of Design in the United Creative Cities Network. Our designation opens opportunities to showcase and celebrate our achievements on an international stage.
Once again, Geelong is leading the way.
